To AASA Society Members in the Africa-Middle East, Americas and European Zones

Re: Nominations for Leadership Council

Dear Africa-Middle East, Americas and European AASA Members:

As you may recall, we chose to stagger the terms of the Councilors on the Leadership Council so that we wouldn’t have 100% turnover at one time. Accordingly, three of our Councilors, Hasan Alpay Heperkan, Oswaldo Bueno and Carlos Lisboa, are completing their terms and we will need to elect, or re-elect, three Councilors to represent Africa-Middle East, Americas and Europe.

Nominations:

Africa-Middle East Zone

Americas Zone

European Zone

I am writing all AASA member organizations in the Africa-Middle East, Americas and European zones to request that you advertise these three openings and solicit nominations for a 3-year term (2026-29) on the AASA Leadership Council. I would ask that each AASA member organization submit their nominations for Councilor by May 1, 2026, to Tammy Catchings at tcatchings@ashrae.org. Once the nominations are received, I will issue a letter ballot to each AASA member organization in those three zones to be due by June 15, 2026, so that we can install the new Councilors at our annual meeting in Austin.

As always, I appreciate all you do for AASA and our industry.

Sincerely,

Bjarne Olesen

Chair
