This technical talk will be presented by Mr. Jannie Potgieter.  Exp lore the impact of altitude on the cooling performance.\n\nMost people wil l know him from the psychrometric courses he has been presenting for SAIRA C for several years now. He studied mechanical engineering at the North We st University and holds both B.Eng and M.Eng degrees.\n\nJannie currently works at Thermologika as a consulting engineer where he specialises in the analysis\, design and development of thermal fluid systems.\n\nSYNOPSIS:\ n\nThis technical talk will explore the impact of altitude on the cooling performance of HVAC systems\, focusing on how changes in air density at di fferent altitudes affect component performance as well as overall system e fficiency. This is of particular interest for us in Gauteng\, since almost all standard equipment ratings are at sea level altitude and Johannesburg is 1700 meters above sea level. The aim of the talk is to provide you wit h an in-depth understanding of how fan and coil performance\, as well as t he complete HVAC system\, is impacted by changes in altitude.
