SAIRAC Johannesburg’s annual golf day was held at the Ruimsig Country Club on 10 March, with 34 teams competing. As always, the South African Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (SAIRAC) had a full field at their annual golf year, and fortunately the rain stayed away (mostly – except for a brief period when the teams had to take shelter off the course). But the teams kept their spirits up and made their way across the beautiful course after a shotgun start.
“The day was a huge success and a good time was had by all industry members attending, who certainly needed a fun day,” said Richard Mullen, SAIRAC Johannesburg chairman.
“On behalf of the Johannesburg SAIRAC committee we would like to extend a special thank you to our sponsors, without whom the day would not have been possible. Only through your continued support and generosity are we able to host a golf day of such a high standard and bounty of prices,” said Mullen.
SAIRAC thanks the following sponsors: ACRA, Baltimore Aircoil, Daikin, Eurocool, Metraclark, Recam, RPM Engineering, TecsaReco, Samsung, Advantage Air, Airco, Atlas Air, Concept Clean Africa, Dunham-Bush, Fourways Airconditioning, and RACA Journal.
Also thank you to the following companies for sponsoring the drinking holes: TecsaReco, Advantage Air, Dunham-Bush, and ACRA.
And the winners are…
The winning four-ball team was TecsaReco with a collective 105. The team consisted of Gareth Smith, Christopher Jardim, Danie le Roux and Rudi Thornhill.
Second place (104 points) went to Eurocool with SystemAir coming in third with 103 points. Fourth went to ACS (99 points) with the other TecsaReco team taking fifth place (96 points).
The best player of the day was Danie le Roux with 48 points, with Anton Esterhuizen winning the trophy for the best SAIRAC member with a score of 39 points.
