Education

SAIRAC Johannesburg region is pleased to announce that courses are up and running for the second half of 2009. Grant Laidlaw has set up a data base for bookings and has arranged for premises at ACRA.

Ms Anria Henning (SDF for ACRA) and Vicky Jeremiah are managing the bookings and can be contacted with regards to general queries, booking queries, confirmations and availability on 011 609 1118 (Anria) 011 392-6630 (Vicky)

One of the advantages of the venue is an air conditioning / refrigeration workshop where, as necessary the theory can be put into practice.

The courses kick off with Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Fundamentals and thermodynamics

and are followed by Air conditioning systems, components and controls and Fans: Types, performance, power, selection, noise.

The courses are aimed at the skills and knowledge that exists in industry and are ideal for persons who have not have had any formal training; technical staff who are new to industry and sales staff who wish expand their understanding.

The skills gap found in industry is well known and much talked about. Coupled to the training is an opportunity for senior people in industry who may be interested to share their experience with the younger generation. Or possibly just a passion to become involved in training and offer their expertise and experience in these evening classes.

Should you be interested in taking up the challenge and be involved with the presentation of any of the courses please contact Grant Laidlaw.
